Download Pinterest pins and pin videos
Paste a pin link and get the original image or video file Pinterest has on file — no watermark, no re-encode.
One pin, whichever format it actually is
A pin can be a static image, an animated GIF, or a video — Pinterest treats all three as "pins" with the same URL shape. This tool checks the pin's underlying data for a video file first, and only falls back to the image if the pin has no video attached.
Image pins resolve to Pinterest's original-size file rather than one of the smaller preview sizes Pinterest generates for the grid view on pinterest.com.
Short pin.it links expand to their full pinterest.com/pin/ URL automatically before resolving.
How it works
- 1
Copy the pin link
Tap the share icon on any public pin and choose Copy link — works from the app or a browser.
- 2
Paste it above
pin.it short links are expanded to the full pin URL automatically.
- 3
Download the file
Video pins save as MP4, image pins save at Pinterest's original stored resolution.
FAQ
Does this work on private boards?
No — only pins a logged-out visitor could already see. Secret boards and private pins are not accessible.
What about idea pins (multi-page pins)?
Multi-page idea pins are not currently supported — only single-image or single-video pins.
Is the image ever recompressed?
No — the file streamed back is the original Pinterest has stored, not a re-encoded copy.
