Download Instagram photos and carousels at full resolution
Single photos, multi-image carousels, even the caption and poster username — all pulled from Instagram's original source file.
Carousels are the part most downloaders get wrong
A carousel post is not one image — it is an ordered list of up to ten. Plenty of downloader tools only grab the first slide, because Instagram's public page preview only shows that one by default. This tool walks the full carousel structure and returns every slide as a separate file, in the order they were posted.
Resolution matters just as much as completeness. Instagram serves a handful of size variants of every photo; the version shown on your feed is deliberately compressed for fast loading. This tool requests the largest variant Instagram has on file — typically the same file the original poster uploaded — rather than the feed-optimized thumbnail.
Single-image posts work the same way, just with one file instead of several.
How it works
- 1
Copy the post link
From the ••• menu on any public post — works whether it is a single photo or a carousel.
- 2
Paste it above
Every slide in a carousel resolves individually, labeled in posting order.
- 3
Download one slide or all
Grab a single image, or use Download all to save the whole carousel in one action.
FAQ
Does a carousel with video slides work?
Yes — mixed carousels (some photo slides, some video slides) resolve each slide as its correct type.
Is the image ever recompressed?
No. The file streamed back is the same bytes Instagram's CDN serves for the largest available size — nothing gets re-encoded.
Can I get just the caption text?
The caption is shown alongside the results if Instagram's response includes it, but the primary purpose here is the media files.
