What we collect

When you paste a link, the server reads it and asks the source platform (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, X, Reddit, Pinterest, or Threads) for the public media behind it. We do not require an account, and we do not ask for your name, email, or any personal identifier to use the tool.

The following is handled server-side and is not written to permanent storage:

The URL you submit, and the resolved media metadata — held in memory for five minutes, then discarded.
Your IP address, used only to enforce a rate limit (so one visitor cannot overload the service) and cleared automatically once the limit window passes.
An aggregate visitor and download counter — two numbers, with no link back to who generated them.

Your browser's own localStorage keeps a short list of links you've recently resolved, purely so the "Recent" list works. That list never leaves your device — it is not sent to our server.

Cookies and advertising

This site shows ads served by Google AdSense. Google and its partners may set cookies to serve and measure ads, and — where you have not opted out — to personalize which ads you see. We do not control what Google's ad cookies store; you can review and adjust this directly through Google's Ad Settings, or opt out of personalized advertising industry-wide via the Digital Advertising Alliance. Visitors in the EEA, UK, and Switzerland are shown a consent prompt before any personalized-ad cookie is set, with an option to reject.

Third parties involved in a download

Resolving a link means our server talks directly to Instagram's, Facebook's, or TikTok's own servers on your behalf — the same request their own apps make. We do not share the link you submit with anyone beyond that necessary request, and no third party analytics or tracking script runs on this site outside of Google AdSense.

Children's privacy

This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect any information from them — in practice, we don't collect identifying information from anyone, per the section above.

Changes to this policy

If what we collect or how ads are served changes materially, this page will be updated with a new "Last updated" date above.
